Guicciardini Strozzi Millanni Rosso 2007
Intense fruity blackberry and blueberry scents with slight spiciness of leather and tobacco. Structured with evident but very smooth tannins and a long finish. Bolgheri has become synonymous with the term "Super-Tuscan" - that is wines made outside of the old DOC regulations using international varieties. The region now produces some of Italy's most fashionable and sought after wines.
"Ocra", a word of Etruscan origin which means "blood of the earth", is born in the vineyards of the "Le Pavoniere" Estate in Bolgheri, Toscana. Vinified with careful control of the fermentation temperature and matured for 12 months in oak barriques, this wine represents the perfect combination of potency and easy drinking.
