Beauvignac Le Molleux Piquepoul 2015
A cremant style Picpoul, creamy yet refreshing with all the citrus and acidity you expect from a Picpoul. Nice yellow colour with some green shades. Delicate nose, floral and fruity. Refined small bubbles with fruity and mineral aromas. Medium-bodied, pleasant freshness and lasting finish.
Picpoul has become a highly fashionable dry white wine, and now, a sparkling sensation.
Made from 100% Piquepoul blanc grown on old bushvines on the clay and limestone soils close to the Etang de Thau saltwater lagoon.
The wine undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle as per the traditional method. Brut style, there is residual sugar of 12g/l
On its own, it makes a lovely aperitif. It will match shellfish, and many Mediterranean style dishes as well as being at home with cheeses or light cakes.
